Blanc Management and Divers Cité present
Party Pictures!
The Bal en Blanc is one of the
major parties thrown by the gay community in Montreal. It
celebrates the advent of spring by inviting party goers to dress
in white - preferably in white costumes. This year we were invited
by New Wave Lasers to provide our Copper Vapour laser system for
the party. The line-up included DJ NiceB [Montreal], DJ Deepdish
[Washington, DC], DJ Stephan Gondin [Montreal], DJ Peter
Raunhoffer [Austria] and DJ Danny Tenaglia [New York]. There were
also live performances from Little Eric, Featuring Jason Taylor
& Lipps, and the Couch Potatoes [Nouvelle Cuisine Recordings].
The venue was the massive Palais des Congrès de Montréal right
downtown. The main room was equipped with 250,000 watts of sound,
500,000 watts of lights, a full colour laser beam and graphics
system, our CV laser beam effect system and over a dozen large
video screens projecting ever changing visuals during the party. I
was fortunate to perform lasers with Danny Tenaglia spinning from
9 in the morning till 3 in the afternoon - a 6 hour set of some of
the best tunez I have heard!
